1. **Sophie Scholl** – Member of the German resistance movement during World War II, known as the White Rose. She and her colleagues distributed anti-Nazi leaflets and were arrested and executed by Nazi authorities.
2. **Bass Reeves** – He was one of the first African-American marshals in the Wild West of the United States. He served as one of the first black peace officers west of the Mississippi River.
3. **Mary Anning** – A 19th-century English paleontologist who made important fossil discoveries, including the first complete skeleton of an ichthyosaur and the first complete skeleton of a plesiosaur.
4. **Violeta Parra** – Chilean singer, songwriter and artist known for her contribution to Chilean folk music and her contributions to the revival of folk culture in Chile.
5. **Bayard Rustin** – A civil rights leader in the United States, he was a key advisor to Martin Luther King Jr. and chief organizer of the March on Washington in 1963, but is often overlooked due to his openly gay sexuality at a time when it was less accepted.
6. **Hypatia** – Ancient Greek philosopher and mathematician, she lived in Alexandria and was one of the last great figures of the Library of Alexandria. She made significant contributions to mathematics and philosophy, despite the social pressures of her time.
